Questions -
Does it cost anything?
The initial evaluation is free to all families. If your
child is determined to be eligible for early intervention
services, then a small monthly fee may be assessed based on
your families income level. This fee is set by the BabyWatch
office through the Utah Department of Health. Families with
children receiving specialized vision and hearing services
do not pay a fee as well families below a certain income
level.
How are services delivered?
Typically services are delivered in your home. Our staff
members will come to your home or other setting most
appropriate to your child. If appropriate, your child may
also be involved in specialized playgroups with other
children. These playgroups are usually held at the PrimeTime
4 Kids building at 1360 West Hwy 40 in Vernal or at our Ft.
Duchesne center (Little Blossom) across from the Head Start
building in Ft. Duchesne.
How long is the evaluation?
Usually the evaluation is completed at your home in about 1
hour. Staff members will use child-specific evaluation tools
to help determine your child's abilities and levels of
performance.
